Hello, my name is Yi Shao. I obtained my bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering and Automation in Tianjin University of Technology, and for my interest in biology, I studied Plant Pathology in South China Agricultural University for my master’s degree. I am currently working on a project that focuses on the evolution of barbel traits in gobies, using molecular experiments and bioinformatic analysis to investigate the relationship between barbel evolution and natural selection pressure on olfactory receptor genes related to sexual selection in gobies.
